Kicking AIM agents in the face would make me smile too
If kicking AIM agents in the face doesn’t make you smile, you’re probably a dirty communist.

This one panel has been added to my favorites of all time. This, along with the context of the story, really shows how Bucky has grown into the mantle of Captain America and the leadership role it entales.

Another one of my personal favorites. Steve just wrestled control of his own body from the Red Skull, and Bucky just got his hand hacked off by the Red Skull in Steve’s body, yet they’re both ready to fight.
My favorite part of this panel is the dialogue, especially Bucky’s line, “Does shooting still count as fighting?” It shows how he’s taken the Captain America mantle as his own and how he’ll get the job done his way.
Captain America: Reborn #6

Steve isn’t leading the way up the battlefield… yet I can almost feel him here. But he’s guiding me now, instead of haunting me.
I can’t be him.
No one ever could.
But I can try to make him proud… in my own way.
